Mimi and Beryl

Mimi

Mimi and Beryl are Plum's two fillies by Finn. Mimi was born in 2004 and Beryl in 2005.

Mimi is going to live with her new owners Helena and Barbara in Southern Vermont in the spring. Beryl is doing very well in school . She is learning her ground work well and will soon be ready to ride. Mimi was named after my Aunt Margaret's connemara mare, Mimi. Beryl was named after Beryl Edie. The story is as follows. In 2005 I took my 4 year old gelding Crispin (Finn x Ting), to the Region 1 Connemara SHow in Woodstock,Vt. It was his very first show and he won the newly awarded Trail Class Championship. This championship was given in the name of Beryl Edie who had done so much to promote the connemara pony and in particular had been the driving force behind the trail class at the show. She considered, quite rightly, that the trail class was an important class for the connemaras as it showed off all the wonderful abilities and the fact that they can indeed, Do It All. Beryl was born a few days after we returned home from the show, so still high on Crispin's wonderful performance, I named the filly after Beryl. Beryl, the pony, has a wonderful temperament and nothing seems to faze her, so perhaps she will also the award one of these years!

Lottie

Here is Lottie in Georgia. She is owned by Rai Pullin and is in foal to Wildwych Eclipse for 2008. So Plum is going to be a Grandmother.

Stonybrook Donovan

Here are a few photos of Stonybrook Donovan.

Donovan is by the Oldenburg stallion Gatsby and out of my blue eyed cream connemara mare Stonybrook Irish Creme. He is a very handsome colt, born June 2007. He will certainly be horse size, maybe 16 hands and will be golden dun. His free movement and kind temperament will make him an ideal sport horse and he has the potential to go far in any discipline.
